Reunion 2008 - Charleston, South Carolina

Here is an item from the Reunion Planner.

It is now just about eight months til the next USS TRUXTUN REUNION! Charleston is a great location, with so many things to see and do. We have posted a description of several of the attractions on the reunion web site

and also a survey so you can let us know which of them you would like to have included in your reunion itinerary. We really would like to hear from more of the Truxtun crewmembers before we make the final tour selections. Between June and October we only got 15 surveys returned. I know there are a lot more of you out that that are "internet savvy" enough to fill out an on line survey! And even if you're not (i-savvy) it's not that hard. Just visit the web site at and spend a few minutes learning about the upcoming reunion and about Charleston. Read some of the crewmember profiles! It's really fun to see what others have been up to. Right now there are 14 pages of profiles. If yours is not there, you can fill one out on line and we'll add it the next time we update the profile page. We look forward to hearing from you soon!
This is your reunion. Let us know what you want to do!

Truxtun, DDG-103

We are trying to stay in contact with the pre-commissioning unit of the new ship to be commissioned Truxtun to let you know of the progress towards commissioning in 2009.

Truxtun Association Future

With the soon to arrive U.S.S. Truxtun - DDG-103 we will need to change the logo currently being used by the Association. As fitting as it was for the nuclear powered Truxtun a new logo is needed in order to reflect the arrival of the newest Truxtun in the history of Thomas Truxtun and the ships honoring him.

Therefore, we are asking that you begin thinking of a new design that can be used for the Association. We hope to have all designs available on this site and presented at the reunion so we can vote on the best design.

As soon as we learn of a ship's patch design that has been adopted by the DDG-103, we will have it posted so you can consider it in your attempts at a new design for the Association.
